The Bible teaches that God calls us to live in covenant -- an invitation for those created in God's image to live in love with God and neighbor.  In response to God, we covenant with others -- members, congregations, associations, conferences, national and international expressions of the United Church of Christ -- and with many other Christian groups, praying and working together so that all may be one (John 17:21).  Also, in the fullness of our Christian faith, we believe that God has called us to work for the reconciliation of the whole world: Christians, people of other faiths, and all who are open to fellowship with us in service to God’s justice, mercy, and peace.
