The United Youth Fellowship (UYF) is our ministry with high school students, with regular meetings on Sunday evenings, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., September through May. "United" is an important part of its name and identity because the group includes young people from other churches and some who are new to the faith and don't yet have an established church home. Through Christian relationship, service learning and worship, UYF seeks unity in diversity and dialogue.
In the course of a year, UYF will have lock-ins, a weekend retreat and a weeklong mission trip annually alternating between rural and urban focus. UYF enjoys seasonal events and holiday parties, participates in a variety of service projects from Hiram Farm to Miller Avenue Church in Akron, and leads a Sunday morning worship service.
At 5:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of every month (beginning September 19, 2010) UYF organizes and leads a worship service in our chapel, immediately followed by a communal meal.
