Whoever you are,
wherever you are on life’s journey,
you are welcome here.

We do not come as perfect people;
but as people perfectly loved by God.

3 Simple Truths

We Believe In

Extravagant Welcome

At the Kent United Church of Christ, all are welcome. And when we say “all”—we mean ALL! We are an open and affirming (ONA) and an accessible to all (A2A) congregation. So whoever you are, wherever you are on your life’s journey, you truly are welcome—and will be accepted and loved—for just being you.

We Believe In

God’s Continuing Testament

We take the Bible seriously, not literally.  We are committed to hearing God's ancient story anew and afresh in our lives and in the world today.  We try to remain attentive to God's creative movement in the world. Religion and science are not mutually exclusive, and your head and heart are both welcomed into our spaces of worship.  We embrace all kinds of communities and new modes of thinking.  At the Kent United Church of Christ, we have the breathing room to explore and to hear, because we believe that God is still speaking,

We Believe In

The Church’s Mission
to Change Lives

Never place a period where God has placed a comma.  Our mission is to change lives — individually, systemically and globally.  We work to make transformation possible, but trust in God's grace.  We are committed to working for justice, and we believe that lives are changed through local service, global engagement and partnerships.  We believe that wherever there is need, there the church should be. Learn about our mission priorities, core values, and ways to serve.

Our faith is alive and active

At the Kent United Church of Christ, we think critically and feel deeply, welcome extravagantly and serve compassionately, walk humbly and witness boldly.

Our faith is 2,000 years old.
Our thinking is not.
