Rummage Sale 2025

It’s that time again, folks! Time to start cleaning out your closets, attic, basement, or garage. The rummage sale is happening  this year on Friday, September 12 from 9-5 and Saturday, September 13 from 9-noon. Please review the following policy, which is new, regarding items we will accept and the times we will accept them. The rummage sale is a huge undertaking,and we are trying to streamline things to make it easier for our many volunteers.

As you make your plans to bring things to our Rummage Sale this year, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

*    if possible, organize your items by category ( household, books, toys, clothing, linens, home decor, electronics, jewelry, tools, crafts, and holiday)This helps IMMENSELY with sorting

*    No stuffed animals, No baby items except clothing and small toys that are boxed

*    No upholstered furniture

*     On Sunday evening, 9/7 from 5-7, volunteers will be available to pick up heavier items that someone might not be able to lift or deliver. If you know you may need that service, please contact Kathy Robinson so that she can develop a schedule. If you have any questions about this, contact a member of the Rummage Sale Committee.

*    Our drop off dates for 2025:

            Wednesday 8/20  5-8

            Saturday 8/23  9-12

            Wednesday 8/27  5-8

            Saturday 8/30  9-12

            Wednesday 9/3  5-8

            Saturday 9/6  9-12

            Sunday 9/7 11-1 and 5-7

            Monday 9/8  5-8

            Tuesday  9/9  5-8

            Wednesday 9/10 5-8

            Thursday, 9/11 9-8

Drop offs will be by the double doors off the back parking lot.

PLEASE do not drop off anything at any other times other than these. There will not be a member of the committee to meet you and accept the items. No Sunday morning drop offs except for Sunday 9/7, please! 

For over three decades the Kent UCC has organized rummage sales.

More than just rummage, this is a ministry of community service, outreach and fellowship.  We have become very well known in the community for our annual rummage sale which now happens every fall. The Rummage Sale Committee organizes the sale held in mid-September. The committee coordinates volunteers, pick-up and drop off of donated items, food for volunteers, organizes donations and runs the Rummage Sale. Volunteering to work on our rummage sale reap rewards of fun, fellowship and good service!
